Welcome to our B&B in the historic city centre of Dordrecht, the oldest city of Holland, dating back 800 years (2020).
We offer two rooms, a double and a single one. Free wireless internet is available in both rooms. In the ground-floor period room, we serve a full breakfast to start off your day.Â
Our B&B is situated in a government-listed monument, dating from 1750, containing many authentic features. Therefore, we kindly request you to appreciate and respect the age of the property.
Our B&B is situated in the very heart of the historic city centre of Dordrecht in the Grotekerksbuurt, a low-traffic street between the Grote Kerk and the City Hall.
Recently this street and its surroundings have been the scene of film recordings, which characterizes the special environment, featuring a great number of buildings listed nationally and municipally.Â
The railway station is at walking distance and is a great starting point for day trips by train.Â
You should not forget to make a closer acquaintance with the charm of Dordrecht, for instance by taking a guided walk that can be booked at the tourist information centre. You can also book a tour by boat through the canals and harbours of Dordrecht. Of course, we are quite willing to tell you something about the history of our beautiful city too.Â
Due to the central location, attractions such as the Grote Kerk, the area with canals and harbours, the studios and antique shops, the many restaurants, cafes and terraces are within walking distance.Â
Our suggestions for day trips:
Take the water ferry to Rotterdam: after a nice ride with multiple stops, you can get off at the Erasmus bridge and explore the city.Â
You can easily reach the Dordtse and Brabantse Biesbosch by bicycle, and what about the windmills of Kinderdijk? Both are areas of outstanding natural beauty and national heritage.Â
Kinderdijk is even a UNESCO world heritage site. The railway station is at a 12-minute walk and is a convenient starting point for a great variety of day trips by bus and train.Â
